A favorite of country collectors, glass canning jars can be used in a variety of decorative ways. Embellish the metal lid bands with florals or branches and use them as curtain tiebacks or napkin rings.

For outdoor ambiance, insert votive candles in several jars, securely wrap twine around the neck of the jars and hang the jar candleholders from fence posts or tree branches. You could also adhere the lids securely to a board and screw the jars into place to hold spices, sewing materials or other small objects.
