Bakery Fakery
To make a faux cake that looks good enough to eat, start with a 9" round foam cake form. Place it on a piece of cardboard covered with parchment paper or wax paper or an appropriate size round cardboard cake board. Scoop lightweight spackling into a small container and add your desired color of craft paint or gel paste food coloring. Mix well, adding paint until you have a “frosting” color you like.
Burrowing Bunny with Jute Carrots
To create the appearance of a bunny’s hindquarters, wrap a small foam ball with brown wool roving and glue on a cotton-ball tail and feet cut from colored paper or felt. Tuck the ball into a decorative pot (we painted a plain terra-cotta one with a pastel plaid pattern) filled with floral foam and a bit of ivy, arranging it so the feet hang over the edge.
Fleecy Fellow
Got an old sweater that no longer fits or has seen better days? Rather than pitch it, recreate it as a woolly sheep figure.
Hexagon Wall Shelf
Make a cute geometric shelf from craft sticks to add interest to your wall displays.
Easter Tree
Create a tree trimmed with polka-dotted bunny and carrot cones full of yummy treats.
